eBay Fee and Profit Calculator

Estimate one item sold in one order, with category tiers, store mode and advertising costs.

Your sale

Custom fee amounts replace category and per-order calculations; enter the dollar amounts from your fee quote, including any category waiver. Advertising and international fees are added separately.

The most-categories preset excludes special schedules such as watches, jewelry, handbags, sneakers, bullion, guitars, electronics exceptions, NFTs, vehicles and real estate. Check your exact category against the official fee table, or use custom amounts.

For shipping exceptions, enter the eligible domestic shipping amount. For eBay International Shipping, enter only seller-retained shipping revenue and use the fee-eligible U.S. hub amount (0 if free domestic shipping). Buyer payments retained by eBay for international delivery are not your revenue. Do not combine multiple items: category thresholds are per item.

Promoted rate applies only when the sale is attributed under General campaigns. Allocate Priority / cost-per-click advertising, insertion fees, subscription cost, currency conversion, seller-performance surcharges and other charges in Other costs. Store mode changes rates but does not automatically deduct a subscription.

Fee configuration and assumptions

Category fee schedule effective February 14, 2025; checked October 6, 2026. Configuration version us-2025-02-14.r2026-10-06. Next review: December 31, 2026. This is the current reviewed snapshot, not a historical or future fee lookup.

Final-value percentage fees include sales tax and eligible shipping. Tiered amounts are summed before rounding to cents. The per-order charge is $0.30 when the total paid is $10 or less, otherwise $0.40, for the presets here. Promoted and international charges use sale price plus shipping charged plus sales tax. Each fee rounds half-up to cents.

Revenue excludes remitted sales tax. Net proceeds = revenue minus the displayed selling fees. Profit = net proceeds minus item cost, label cost and other costs. Margin = profit divided by revenue; it is unavailable at zero revenue. No extra payment-processing fee is added. Refunds, discounts on seller fees and unentered expenses are excluded. A zero-value completed order still has the configured per-order charge.
