Toolistify Editorial and Update Policy

Answer-first introduction

Toolistify aims to publish clear, original and verifiable content that helps users complete a task. Time-sensitive pages are reviewed against primary sources, carry a visible review date and are corrected when a rule changes. Commercial relationships do not determine formulas or eligibility outcomes.

Writing standards

Toolistify content should:

• Answer the main question near the top
• Explain formulas and terms in plain language
• Include a worked example where calculation is involved
• Distinguish facts, estimates and opinions
• Use descriptive headings
• Avoid copied filler and keyword stuffing
• State limitations and uncertainty
• Link related tools only when they help the next task

Review and bylines

Every priority page should identify a writer and, where relevant, a subject reviewer. Author pages must contain real experience and identity information; do not create fictional experts. Admissions formulas should receive a second-source or second-person review before publication.

Use of AI assistance

Toolistify may use software or AI to support drafting, formatting, testing or research organization. A human remains responsible for checking sources, calculations, claims, originality and usefulness before publication. Do not publish generated admission or scholarship facts without source verification.

Update labels

• Published: first publication date
• Last reviewed: a human checked the page and sources
• Last updated: content or code materially changed
• Cycle: admission or scholarship period to which the information applies Do not change a date merely to make a page appear fresh.

Corrections

Correct factual and calculation errors promptly after verification. Material corrections should include a concise note stating what changed and when. Minor spelling or formatting fixes do not require a public correction note.

Commercial independence

Affiliate, advertising and sponsorship relationships are labelled. Partners do not receive the right to alter eligibility rules, formula outputs, comparisons or editorial conclusions.

Content removal

Remove or consolidate pages that are outdated, duplicative, unsupported or no longer useful. Apply a relevant redirect only when a genuine replacement exists.
