Dubai Rent Increase and Renewal Checker
Check the arithmetic of a proposed Dubai rent increase using the permitted percentage from your current official DLD result. Then plan the renewal payments and any confirmed fees.
Calculation breakdown
How to use this tool
- Obtain the result for your property and renewal date from DLD.
- Enter that permitted percentage alongside current and proposed rent.
- Review the comparison and cheque-payment schedule.
How the result is calculated
The entered permitted percentage is applied to current annual rent. The tool compares the proposal with that calculated amount; it does not independently determine the rental index.
Worked example
If current rent is AED80,000 and your official result permits 10%, the calculated ceiling is AED88,000. A proposed AED90,000 is AED2,000 above that arithmetic amount.
What this result does not cover
This is Dubai-specific and depends on the official result you supply. Notice, contract and dispute questions need separate checks.
Questions people ask
Does this look up the official index itself?
No. Enter the current result from DLD.
Can I use it for Abu Dhabi?
No. Dubai rental rules should not be applied to another emirate.
Does a permitted percentage settle every legal question?
No. Other tenancy conditions may still affect the situation.
Supported scope and official sources
Dubai arithmetic only, using your DLD result. A ceiling is shown only when the result date equals your comparison date and you confirm its property / renewal match; this is a conservative freshness check, not a statutory expiry rule. Missing or older results give budgeting only. Cheque rounding reconciles to annual rent. No notice, dispute or legal approval decision.
