Calculation breakdown
How to use this tool
- Choose the billing month and tariff category.
- Enter electricity and water consumption in the stated units.
- Add confirmed surcharge and other bill details, then review completeness.
How the result is calculated
Slab tariffs apply different prices to successive portions of consumption. The total is the sum of those portions, plus applicable surcharges and other supported charges.
Worked example
With illustrative rates of AED0.20 for the first 1,000 kWh and AED0.30 for the next 500 kWh, the consumption charge is AED350 before other bill components.
What this result does not cover
This version is for supported Dubai DEWA categories only. Other emirates, district cooling and unverified surcharges require separate inputs or services.
Questions people ask
Is all usage charged at the highest slab?
No. A progressive tariff charges each portion at its applicable rate.
Does the result include district cooling?
Only as a separately entered confirmed charge, not an inferred DEWA tariff.
Why can a zero-usage bill still cost money?
Fixed, housing or other charges may still apply.
