Dividend Income Calculator
Estimate annual dividends, monthly averages and payment amounts, with dividend growth and an optional tax estimate.
Year-by-year dividend projection
Year 1 uses the entered dividend. Growth begins in year 2. Shares remain constant; dividends are paid out, not reinvested. When tax is disabled, after-tax columns equal gross income and do not imply tax exemption.

How dividend income is calculated
Annual income = shares owned × annual dividend per share. Dividend yield = annual dividend per share / entered share price × 100. Share price affects yield and the displayed holding value, not the income paid on a fixed number of shares.
Monthly average = annual income / 12. Per-payment income = annual income / number of payments per year. Frequency changes the estimated payment size, not annual income. Actual payments can vary and this tool does not model declaration, ex-dividend or payment dates.
For projection year n, dividend per share = entered annual dividend × (1 + growth rate)^(n − 1). Negative growth models dividend cuts. The same tax rate, if enabled, applies to each year's income. Calculations retain unrounded amounts; displayed dollar figures are rounded to cents, so rounded payments may not sum exactly to a displayed annual total.
This is an income estimate, not total investment return. It excludes share-price changes, reinvestment, added shares, fees, inflation and special dividends beyond the amount you enter. Growth is an assumption, not a forecast.
Taxes and uncertainty
Ordinary and qualified dividends can have different tax treatment. Your actual liability depends on the dividend type, account and individual circumstances. No tax rate is inferred here. Dividends are not guaranteed and can be cut or eliminated.
