Calculation breakdown
How to use this tool
- Select the tax year and enter subscriptions across your ISAs.
- Identify formal transfers and any confirmed flexible replacements.
- Review remaining allowance and an optional savings projection.
How the result is calculated
Remaining allowance depends on counted subscriptions, not the current value of the account. Lifetime ISA contributions also have their own limit within the overall adult ISA allowance.
Worked example
With an illustrative £20,000 annual allowance and £12,000 of counted subscriptions, £8,000 remains. A formal transfer between ISA providers does not by itself use another £5,000 of allowance.
What this result does not cover
Check provider records and account flexibility. A withdrawal does not automatically create new subscription room.
Questions people ask
Does interest use my allowance?
No. Growth and interest inside the account are different from subscriptions.
Can I withdraw and replace money?
Only eligible flexible-account replacements follow those rules; confirm them with your provider.
Is projected growth guaranteed?
No. It uses the return assumption you enter.
