NUST Merit Calculator 2026
Calculate a NUST undergraduate merit aggregate using NET, SSC and HSSC percentages. See the 2026 formula, example, eligibility notes and official source.
Answer-first introduction
For general undergraduate admission on a NUST Entry Test basis, the published merit weightages are 75% NET, 10% SSC or equivalent and 15% HSSC or equivalent. Enter obtained and total marks for each component to estimate the aggregate. NUST remains the only authority for eligibility, merit position and selection.

NUST NET merit formula
For the general NET route: NUST aggregate = NET percentage × 0.75 + SSC percentage × 0.10 + HSSC percentage × 0.15 For national ACT/SAT seats, the published general weights are 75% ACT/SAT, 10% SSC and 15% HSSC or equivalent. For international ACT/SAT seats, the official page states 100% ACT/SAT for merit, while academic eligibility requirements still apply.
Worked NUST aggregate example
NET: 150 out of 200 = 75% SSC: 950 out of 1100 = 86.36% HSSC Part-I: 480 out of 550 = 87.27% 75 × 0.75 + 86.36 × 0.10 + 87.27 × 0.15 = 77.98% The estimated NUST aggregate is 77.98%.
A-Level result-awaiting note
NUST states that O/A-Level candidates who are in the final year of A Level are assigned 25% weightage to O-Level equivalence marks under the stated condition. The calculator should provide a dedicated route for this case instead of pretending that a missing A-Level percentage is zero.
Eligibility is separate from aggregate
NUST’s published general eligibility includes a minimum 60% aggregate in SSC and HSSC or the relevant equivalents, with subject and program-specific requirements. Some applicants may have additional mathematics, equivalence or program conditions. Passing the aggregate calculation does not confirm eligibility.
FAQs
What percentage of NUST merit comes from NET?
The general NET-based undergraduate merit formula currently assigns 75% to NET.
Are SSC and HSSC marks included?
Yes. The general formula assigns 10% to SSC or equivalent and 15% to HSSC or equivalent.
Can I calculate with A-Level grades directly?
Use the applicable IBCC equivalence percentage and the current NUST rules rather than raw letter grades.
Does the calculator show my NUST merit position?
No. It estimates the aggregate; NUST generates merit positions and selections.
Which NET score is used if I take the test more than once?
The official program-wise criteria identify how the best score is selected. Verify the rule for the chosen program and route.
